Brazil records about 109 thousand new infections of corona, and Germany more than 118 thousand

On February 20th, Brazil recorded 851 deaths and 108,725 new infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours.

According to the World Meter website, Brazil has recorded 28 million and 167,587 infections and 643,938 deaths.

Brazil has seen a significant increase in the number of coronavirus infections in recent weeks due to the Omicron strain, although the number of deaths in the current wave is much lower than the previous waves due to the relatively high vaccination rates.

In Germany, data from the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases showed that the number of Corona infections rose to 13,563,126 after recording 118,032 new infections, while the total deaths reached 121,275 after 73 new deaths were recorded.

In China, the National Health Committee announced the registration of 195 new confirmed infections yesterday, up from 137 the previous day, noting that 94 of the new infections were from abroad, compared to 80 the day before.

Thus, the mainland of China had recorded, until yesterday, 107,707 confirmed infections, and no new deaths were recorded, so that the number remained constant at 4,636 cases.
