It is very important to support small and micro-sized enterprises even more so now than ever before.  They are an integral part of the economy . By supporting them you are supporting  local communities and economy around their area as well as  creating financial independence for communities far and wide.

The Revolutionary Youth Union ( RYU)   launched  on Monday “Bozour”  (seeds)  program to support small and micro-sized enterprises in the city of  Draikish in  Tartous, with the aim of empowering economically rural families, youths  and families of martyrs and the wounded .

The program,  which is implemented in cooperation with official institutions and economic, civil and community activities , included the opening of a sewing center , which would provide a number of job opportunities for the beneficiaries.

According to Afif Dalla , Head of the  RYU ,  the program seeks to invest  creative ideas in launching productive projects that revive the social environment and meet the needs of the local market in light of the economic blockade imposed on Syria through  employing the largest possible number of rural families and securing a good income for them.

Dalla pointed out in a press statement that  80 % of the  small enterprises’ profits  according to  “ Bozour”  program belong to the  beneficiaries  , while only 20 percent go to the RYU , with the aim of developing the project and ensuring its continuity.

He referred  to the cooperation  with government and private economic activities  to market the  products directly , stressing that the project’s top priority is to support the  martyrs’ families  then the youths.

Dallah underlined  that the  RYU  aims to promote  vocational and technical  projects  through  “ Takween” (forming)  program, which will be launched soon,   to establish  incubators for students of technical and vocational education and linking them to the labor market.

The center includes  three  production lines, according to its director, Mahasin Jadid, who confirmed that the first line is for sewing, the second for crochet and the third for embroidery.

She  indicated  that the work at  the center depends on  professional teachers and those of  social cases that need support  and work.
