Boroujerdi Rejects Accusations about Iran’s Alleged Meddling in Syria

Chairman of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi categorically denied the recent allegations raised by terrorists  about Iran’s alleged interference in the internal affairs of Syria,according to FNA.

“We definitely have no reason to interfere in Syria’s affairs because this country has an army and extensive facilities and its army is comprised of armed popular groups which are resisting (against rebels and terrorist groups),” Boroujerdi said on Friday.

He added that armed opposition groups in Syria, backed by foreign countries such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar, are leveling such allegations against Iran due to their failure to change the current political structure in Syria.
