Bogdanov to Mikdad: Al-Moallem contributed to developing Syrian-Russian relations

MOSCOW, (ST)_ Russian President’s special envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov has expressed heartfelt condolences on the passing of  Walid al-Moallem, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

During a phone call on Monday with Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Faisal Mikdad, Bogdanov offered the deepest condolences of Russia on the passing of Minister al-Moallem, according to a statement released by  Russian Foreign Ministry.

The Russian Diplomat pointed out that the late Syrian FM contributed to developing the traditional friendly relations between Russia and Syria, which, in recent years, upgraded to the level of strategic partnership.
