Bogdanov: Deputy foreign ministers of Russia, Syria, Iran and Turkey will meet in Astana on June 21

Moscow, (ST) – Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Envoy of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov announced that a meeting of the deputy foreign ministers of Russia, Turkey, Syria and Iran will be held in the Kazakh capital, Astana, on the 21st of June.

Bogdanov said in a statement to reporters on Wednesday: A large Russian delegation will go to Astana to participate in this meeting.

A quadilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Syria, Russia, Iran and Turkey was held on the 10th of last May in the Russian capital, Moscow, where the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic stressed the need to end the Turkish occupation of the Syrian lands and the withdrawal of all illegal foreign forces from the country. In addition, the delegation affirmed the need to stop interference in the internal affairs of Syria and to halt terrorism support.
