Bogdanov and Al-Jaafari discuss developments in Syria

Moscow (ST): The Special Representative of the Russian President for Middle East and African Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed with Syria’s Ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, the latest developments in Syria.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today: that during the meeting, views were exchanged on developments in and around Syria in light of the results of the nineteenth international meeting on Syria in the Astana format, which was held two days ago in the Kazakh capital.

The ministry added that issues related to the further strengthening of the multifaceted Russian-Syrian cooperation, including the tasks of strengthening the social and economic structure of Syria, were also considered.
