CAIRO, (ST)- The Russian President’s Special Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Bogdanov has reiterated the importance of the participation of all spectra of the Syrian opposition in the intra-Syrian dialogue in Geneva.

In a statement to journalists following his meeting with the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shuki in Cairo, Bogdanov stressed that Moscow have contacts with many opposition parties.

He clarified that the next round of talks will start on April 11th with a meeting between De Mistura and the opposition delegation. The Syrian Arab Republic’s delegation to intra-Syrian dialogue will join the talks after the end of Syria’s parliamentary elections scheduled on April 13th, he said.

“We have to encourage the Syrians to hurry in finding a solution to the crisis on the basis of Security Council resolutions and international documents and with the participation of all participants of Cairo, Moscow and Riyadh meetings as well as the Syrian government delegation,” Bogdanov added.

The last round of talks was concluded with the UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura presenting a set of principles of 12 items. De Mistura asked the delegations to study these principles and reply to them in the next round of talks.
