Bishop of Alexandria for Armenian Catholics: Syria’s steadfastness has foiled all attempts to undermine it

CAIRO, (ST)- Bishop of Alexandria for Armenian Catholics Krikor Kousa has affirmed that thanks to the steadfastness and resistance of the Syrian people and army, Syria has managed to foil all the attempts that aimed at destroying it.

In a  statement to SANA correspondent in Cairo following a divine liturgy marking Easter, Bishop Kousa said “today, we are celebrating Easter following years of a heinous war that has sought destroying beloved Syria, but it failed as the Syrian people kept strong in defense of their homeland’s sovereignty, unity and independence.

 The divine liturgy was confined to the bishop and the deacons due to the measures adopted by the Egyptian government to fight coronavirus.
