Berri: The ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon is a flagrant violation of the ceasefire

Beirut (ST) – Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stressed that the Israeli occupation has been flagrantly violating the ceasefire agreement since it came into effect, calling on the committee tasked with carrying out its duties urgently to stop the aggression against Lebanon, which has exceeded 54 violations.

The Lebanese News Agency quoted Berri as saying today: “The aggressive actions carried out by the Israeli occupation forces in terms of bulldozing homes in the Lebanese villages bordering occupied Palestine, in addition to the continued air raids and the implementation of raids that targeted more than once the depths of Lebanese areas, during which martyrs and wounded fell, all of these actions represent a flagrant violation of the terms of the ceasefire that began at dawn on the 27th of last month, to which Lebanon declared its commitment.”

“We ask the technical committee formed to monitor the implementation of this agreement where it stands regarding these ongoing violations and breaches that have exceeded 54 breaches, while Lebanon and the resistance are fully committed to what they pledged”, Berri added.

Berri called on the committee tasked with monitoring the implementation of the agreement to carry out its duties urgently and oblige the Israeli occupation government to stop its violations and withdraw from the territories it occupies before anything else.
