Beirut-(ST) – Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stressed on Wednesday that the election of the country’s president will only be achieved through dialogue.
Berri said after an election session for the President of the Republic: By adopting the policy of denial, we will not reach the desired result that we aspire to. Therefore, the speedy election of a President of the Republic can only be achieved by consensus and by adopting the path of dialogue without conditions.
He pointed out that the desired dialogue in which the wills of all intersect over a common vision of how to achieve this merit under the roof of the constitution.
Today, the Lebanese parliament failed to elect a new president for the republic for the 12th time.
