Berri: Resistance Operation in Occupied Shebaa Farms Well-Planned, Well-Performed

BEIRUT, (ST)_ Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said that the operation carried out by the Lebanese National Resistance against the Israeli occupation forces in the occupied Shebaa Farms was “well-planned and performed.”

In a statement yesterday, Berri said that this quality operation had surprising elements, despite all taken Israeli precautionary measures, pointing out that talking about a breach of Resolution 1701 by implementing this operation is absolutely untrue because the operation took place in the occupied territories and in areas where the said resolution is not valid.

Berri stressed that Israel was and is still violating the said resolution, either through air or frequent aggressive operations, pointing out that since the beginning Israel tried to breach the rules of engagement, especially that UN resolution 1701 did not include a cease-fire, which was supposed to replace the cessation of hostilities after a week or two of its issuance.

Last Wednesday, the Lebanese National Resistance carried out a quality operation in targeting a military convoy for the Israeli occupation forces in the occupied Shebaa Farms, and the operation resulted in the destruction of several military vehicles and the killing and wounding of many Israeli soldiers.
