Berri calls for strengthening relations with Syria
On August 31st, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri reiterated the importance of developing Lebanon’s relations with Syria.
Berri said in his speech in the city of Tire in southern Lebanon: “We affirm our support for Syria’s leadership, army and people.”
Berri called for strengthening relations with Syria for the benefit of the two brotherly countries.
He denounced the attempts to turn Lebanon and its skies into a “stage for attacks against Syria,” stressing “his support for Syria in its confrontation with terrorism and attempts to seize its resources and lands.”
