Ben Gvir storms into Al-Ibrahimi Mosque

Occupied Al-Quds- (ST) – Dozens of settlers, including the minister in the Israeli occupation government, Itamar Ben Gvir, stormed into the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil (Hebron) on Wednesday in the occupied West Bank.

Wafa News Agency stated that Ben Gvir storming into the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque is part of a series of continuous incursions by the occupation forces and settlers into the mosque since yesterday.

Palestinian Minister of Awqaf  (religious endowments) Hatem Al-Bakri denounced  the raid as a flagrant violation of the sanctity of holy places and places of worship.

Al-Bakri warned that the escalation of settler incursions into the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque coincides with the intensification of the occupation forces’ attacks on the Palestinians in the Old City of Al-Khalil to displace them.

Al-Bakri stressed that the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque is a private endowment property for Muslims, and no one else has the right to worship in it.

The minister called on international human rights institutions to work to stop the crimes of the occupation, which is committing the most heinous violations against the Palestinians, their land and their sanctities.
