Belgian Deputy Prime Minister calls for imposing sanctions on Israeli occupation officials

Belgian Deputy Prime Minister Petra De Sutter called for imposing sanctions on Israeli occupation officials and for investigating them for the bombing of hospitals and residential areas in Gaza Strip.

The Premier told the Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad: “It is time to impose sanctions on Israel. Dropping bombs like rain is inhumane. It is clear that “Israel” does not care about international demands for a ceasefire.”

De Sutter called on the European Union to immediately suspend the association agreement with “Israel,” adding, “A ban must be imposed on the import of products from the occupied Palestinian territories, and violent settlers, politicians, and soldiers responsible for war crimes must be prevented from entering the European Union.”

As the barbaric Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip entered its second month, United Nations officials and many countries around the world intensified their calls to stop this aggression, lift the stifling siege imposed on the Palestinians, and stop the massacres in which more than 10,000 Palestinians were killed, 40 percent of whom were children.
