Belarusian PM: “We are very interested in the situation in Syria”

MINSK, Jan.27, (ST)- Belarus’s Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko asserted on Thursday that the relations between Syria and his country are historic and deep- rooted in all fields. 
 
” We are very interested in the situation in Syria, and we have been close to Syria during the hard times that it is going through and we have offered support to the people of Syria ” Golovchenko said during a meeting  with the Syrian delegation, who is taking part in the 8th session  of the joint Syrian-Belarussian governmental committee in Minsk.
 
He expressed his admiration over the courage of  the Syria people and their steadfastness and struggle against terrorism, indicating that Syria is now in the stage of building what has been destroyed by terrorists and their sponsors. 
 
For his part, the Minster of Public Works and Housing, who chairs the Syrian side in the Syrian-Belarus joint committee,  Suhail Abdul Latif, said that Syria highly appreciates Belarus’s support for Syria against terrorism.
 
He added that Syria denounces foreign schemes that try to target Belarus’s sovereignty and to intervene in its domestic affairs.
The minister hopes that  committee’s meeting will enhance economic and commercial relations between Syria and Belarus.
