Belarusian Foreign Minister: Belarus supports Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity

Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov affirmed his country’s support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria.

The Belarusian News Agency quoted the Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement: “Ryzhenkov discussed with the Leader of the New Syrian Administration Ahmad Al-Shara in Damascus the international situation and regional conflicts, emphasizing the common interest in resolving these conflicts as early as possible.”

The ministry added “Belarus defends the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria within the internationally recognized borders,” indicating that “Ryzhenkov declared his readiness to support the Syrian side in international organizations to protect these principles and lift sanctions on Syria.”

The ministry announced that Belarus will soon provide Syria with 50 MAZ buses as a gift from the President and people of Belarus to the Syrian people, explaining that they will be manufactured, produced and delivered to Syria within the next three months.
