Belarus: Syria is a main and reliable partner
MINSK, Jan.26, (ST)-Belarus considers Syria as a main and reliable partner and it respects the friendly Syrian people, the Chairman of the Belarusian Military Industrialization Committee Dmitriy Bantos said on Wednesday .
Bantos’s remarks were made during the opening ceremony of the 8th session of the joint Syrian-Belarussian Governmental Committee for Economic, Commercial and Technical Cooperation.
The meetings of the session will be chaired by the Syrian Minister of Public Works and Housing Suhail Abdel Latif and the Chairman of the Belarusian Military Industrialization Committee Dmitriy Bantos.
Abdel Latif referred to the economic and commercial cooperation agreement that was signed by Syria and Belarus in 1998, asserting that Belarus is an important partner to Syria in the stage of reconstruction, especially in the light of the distinguished political relations and joint interests.
He also talked about the available investment opportunities in Syria after the issuance of the Investment Law No18 for the year 2021.
The minister hopes that the current talks will achieve the desired results through translating the signed agreements into the ground.
