Belarus affirms its support for Syria and its leadership in confronting terrorism

Damascus (ST) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus affirmed Belarus’s support for Syria, its people and leadership in confronting terrorism, and its support for efforts to repel the terrorist threat and achieve stability.

The ministry stated today: “We express our support for the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Bashar al-Assad, and the government and people of Syria in confronting terrorist groups, and we reaffirm our firm commitment to Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.”

“We support the efforts of Damascus and its allies to repel the terrorist threat and achieve stability, and we categorically condemn the terrorist attacks on consular offices and civilians and express our hope that the situation will stabilize quickly and the terrorist threat will be eliminated”, the ministry added.
