Beijing urges Washington to stop disseminating lies to creat tension between China and other countries

China has called on the United States to stop disseminating lies to create discord between China and other countries with which it has normal ties.

Xinhua news agency quoted the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zhao Lijian as saying in a press conference on Saturday that “China pursues development in order to bring better lives to the people, without any interests in challenging or replacing others”.

 He added that for too long, the United States has been whipping up the China threat theory and creating lies against Beijing.

Zhao went on to say that the United States has been constantly disseminating disinformation about the Ukraine crisis, flagrantly slandering China and driving a wedge between China and Russia with an agenda of profiting from the repercussions of its blame-shifting and the confrontation it incites among others.

 “The United States should focus more on its responsibility for the outbreak and escalation of the Ukraine crisis,” Zhao said.

On April 12, the Chinese Foreign Ministry stressed that the practices of the United States and NATO are the cause of the crisis in Ukraine, pointing out that they didn’t take any measures to stop escalation in Ukraine, rather, they poured oil on fire and aggravated the conflict there.
