Beginning of rehabilitation works on the international road between Jdeidet Yabous crossing and the Lebanese border
Damascus Countryside, (ST)-The vehicles of the Technical Services Directorate in Damascus Countryside Governorate began this morning the rehabilitation works on the international road connecting Jdeidet Yabous crossing and the Lebanese border to fix the damage caused by the Israeli aggression.
The Governor of Damascus Countryside Ahmed Khalil explained in a statement to reporters during his visit to follow-up on the rehabilitation works that immediate work has begun on the restoration and rehabilitation of the road connecting Jdeidet Yabous crossing and Al-Masnaa on the Syrian-Lebanese border, where necessary machinery and equipment have been brought in to accomplish this, stressing that the works will continue for 24 hours until the road is reopened as soon as possible.
The Israeli enemy carried out many raids during its 66-day aggression on Lebanon, targeting the Masnaa Road and the border crossings between Lebanon and Syria, causing many casualties and significant material damage to roads, bridges and facilities.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Works announced, for its part, that it had begun preparing workshops to begin restoring the Masnaa Road on the Lebanese-Syrian border.
