Beef & Vegetable Noodles

INGREDIENTS

1/3  kg beef steak, sliced into very thin slices

8  fresh mushroom, washed and sliced with the stems

1 1/2  cups bean sprouts, soaked, rinsed, and drained

6  bamboo shoots, thinly sliced

3  scallions, sliced

2  cups beef broth

2  tablespoons cornstarch

2  teaspoon sesame oil

2  cups egg noodles, dried

For the marinade

1 tablespoon light soy sauce

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

Cooking method according to shahiya.com

1. Combine the marinade ingredients together in a bowl then add the beef and let it marinate for at least 1 hour. Then drain the beef and reserve the marinade juice.

2. Heat the sesame oil in a pan, add the beef and cook for 4-5 minutes.

3. Combine the cornstarch and beef stock together in a bowl then add them, along with the remaining marinade juice, to the beef.

4. Bring the beef mixture in the pan to a boil stirring well then reduce heat and add the vegetables. Simmer for 5 minutes.

5. Boil water in a pot and cook the noodles for 4-5 minutes, drain well.

6. To serve, place the noodles first in a serving dish then add the beef mixture on top
