The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that it had enrolled 36 British citizens on the sanctions list, including a number of cabinet members, representatives of law enforcement agencies and journalists due to London’s anti-Russian stances.
The Ministry said in a statement today: “Because of the anti-Russian approach taken by the British government, its active continuation of the personal sanctions mechanism and its intense propaganda campaign aimed at discrediting our country and isolating Russia from the international arena, it was decided to additionally include some members of the British Cabinet and some representatives of the security agencies as well as some journalists on the Russian sanctions list,” pointing out that in total, the new Russian sanctions included 36 British citizens.
The Ministry continued: “We are forced to remind that the hostile actions and aggressive rhetoric on the part of British officials will not remain without an appropriate Russian response. The support for the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv will cost their Western masters dearly.”
