With the participation of 60 women small business owners, the “Aleppo sweeter” Bazaar, organized by the governorate of Aleppo and Al-Kenana Foundation for Exhibitions and Conferences, recently opened at the Al- Ittihad club pool in Al-Mocambo neighborhood.
The bazaar presented various products from the folklore and heritage industries, including silver jewelry, embroideries, woolen crafts, crochet, clothing, etamin, cosmetics, decorative tools, detergents, glass painting and culinary dishes of Aleppo .
Executive Member of the Aleppo Governorate Council, Eng. Mohammed Fayad, pointed out the importance of holding shopping bazaars and exhibitions, especially during the holy month of Ramadan and their role in providing the products of small and micro enterprises (by women)to visitors at reasonable Prices.
Fayad praised the support provided by the governorate to these women as it helps them to market these products and provides the necessary facilities to meet the needs of the family, thus activating the economic movement in the city.
Chairman of the board of Al Kenana Foundation for Exhibitions and Conferences, Kenana Alloush, said that the aim of the three-day bazaar is to open new windows for ladies owners of small enterprises and help them market their products, in addition to reviving some endangered crafts, such as silver and etamin industry.
The participants of the bazaar stressed the importance of holding such exhibitions because of their great role in supporting women who run their own small businesses in an effort to improve their financial and living conditions. They expressed pleasure at the popularity of their products, especially as they enjoy high quality and reasonable prices.
