Bassil: The strong relations between Syria and Lebanon serve Lebanon’s national interests

BEIRUT, (ST)_ President of the Lebanese Free Patriotic Movement Gebran Bassil has declared that the strong relations with Syria serve the national interest of Lebanon.

He said on Sunday that the strong relations between Syria and Lebanon serve the interest of  Lebanon in the economic, financial and social fields and they serve Lebanon politically and support its army.

Bassil asserted that the Lebanese are with the achievement of real, just and comprehensive peace in the region based on the restoration of rights.

“There will be no peace without the establishment of the Palestinian state and the return of refugees to their home,” the Lebanese politician added, pointing out that what have been proposed in Lebanon is a surrender and it will lead to internal war.

He also stressed that the siege being imposed on Lebanon is a pressure card in order to subjugate  the Lebanese people to the proposed plots related to accepting normalization with the Israeli entity without the restoration of rights.
