BASP’s Regional Leadership, Sheikh Hajri condemn abduction of Sweida branch’s Baathist official

DAMASCUS,(ST)_The Regional Leadership of the Baath Arab Socialist Party has condemned kidnapping of the Secretary of the BASP’s Sweida branch Shebli Jnod by terrorist organizations, describing the act as ‘Coward and terrorist’.

The leadership said in a statement released today that any attempt to exploit this coward act in order to affect the steadfastness of Jabal al-Arab people and their defense of Syria will be failed.

“The regional leadership will exert every possible effort to know the destiny of Jnod,” the statement read, holding the abductors responsible for any harm that could happen to Jnod.

On his part, Sheikh Hikmat al-Hajri, Sheikh Akel of Unitarian Muslims condemned the abduction of Jnod, calling for not being dragged into sedition.

Yesterday, SANA quoted a police command source in Sweida as saying that the communication with Jnod was lost at 9:00 am on Wednesday and his car was found burned on the main road, about 4km southeast of Salkhad city.
