Basketball: Wahda beat Jaish

DAMASCUS,(ST)-Wahda, the Damasus-based club, have beaten Jaish 72-50 in the National basketball League south division 2nd leg .

With this win,Wahda moved up to the top of the group while Jaish remained in second place.

Wahda gave an impressive performance to the delight of their fans. They (Wahda)tightly blocked their defensive zone and succeeded in counterattacks.

In the fourth and last quarter,Jaish tried relentlessly to amend the score but to no avail.

The four quarters ended as follows:20-18,12-9,20-4,20-19.

In another action, al-Nasr scored an emphatic victory over Qasyoun 68-56 with the four quarters ended as follows:15-15,16-10,23-14(14-17).
