Beirut (ST): Maan Bashour, head of the Arab International Center for Communication and Solidarity and founding president of the Arab National Forum, affirmed that the international Arab campaign to break the siege on Syria, which was launched before the devastating earthquake in Syria, will continue until the unjust, illegal and inhumane Western blockade imposed on it is lifted.
During a televised interview with former British MP George Galloway yesterday evening, Bashour referred to several initiatives that are expected to be taken in this regard, most notably the organization of the Arab Brotherhood Caravan to break the siege on Syria, which will set off from the ocean to the Gulf similar to Maryam’s convoy to break the siege on Iraq, which was launched more than twenty years ago from London under the supervision of Representative Galloway, and headed to Morocco, then Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, until it reached Iraq.
Bashour explained that a huge march will take place in front of the American White House in Washington at the initiative of the Support Alliance in the United States, in which about 100 associations and organizations hostile to wars and siege will participate, on the twentieth anniversary of the war on Iraq, and at the top of their demands will be an end to the Western blockade on Syria.
