Bari: “Caesar Act” targets Syria’s pivotal role in the region

Beirut (ST): Speaker of the Lebanese House of Representatives Nabih Bari has condemned the so-called US Caesar Act, stressing that it aims to tighten blockade on Syria economically and financially to prevent it from performing its pivotal role in the region.

Heading an emergency meeting for Amal Movement leaders, Bari said that the so-called Caesar Act also targets Syria’s neighbors, especially Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan.

He went on to say that Amal Movement’s stand towards what is called Caesar Act is the stand of the loyal ally to the country which has been supporting Lebanon and its resistance for a longtime.
