Barada Company’s sales exceed one billion pounds in 4 months

The value of sales of the General Company for Metallurgical Industries (Barada) exceeded one billion Syrian pounds during the first four months of this year.

The Company is preparing to conclude contracts for the supply of new raw materials to develop its products.

The Company’s director, Engineer Ali Abbas, said that the value of the company’s sales since the beginning of this year until the end of last April amounted to 1.085 billion Syrian pounds,, including refrigerators, gas ovens and fans of various sizes, in addition to water coolers, laser cookers, vacuum cleaners and electric ovens.

 

 Abbas said that there are products in the company’s stores that are under contract for sale with a number of public authorities, with a value of about 467 million Syrian pounds.

Abbas said that the company keeps the prices of its products despite the lack of raw materials due to the economic blockade imposed on Syria.

Abbas said that the company sells at competitive prices less than 20 to 25 percent of the prices of similar companies in the local market.

Abbas confirmed that the company will continue to supply the branches of the Syrian Trading Corporation in the governorates with its products for sale through its halls in for all workers in the state, in implementation of the agreement concluded between the two sides, in addition to expanding Barada halls in the governorates and supplying them with various products.

Abbas said that there are offers for the company to manufacture some plastic tools, after repairing the plastic injection machine in cooperation with the Scientific Research Center in preparation for entering the production phase.

Barada Company is affiliated to the General Organization for Engineering Industries and specializes in the production of various types of household appliances and is currently operating in the Hosh Blas area in Damascus countryside due to the destruction of its headquarters in Sbeineh Al-Soghra area in Damascus countryside in 2012.
