Bankin and Jaafari discuss Syrian-Russian cooperation on many international issues

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Bankin discussed with the Syrian Ambassador to Moscow Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari the Syrian-Russian cooperation on many international issues and developments.

“During their meeting in Moscow today, Bankin and Jaafari discussed pressing economic, trade, financial and international issues, in the light of bilateral coordination between the two countries in various areas,” the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

At another meeting, Al-Jaafari and the head of the diplomatic academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Yakovenko, discussed the situation in Syria and the region.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that during the meeting, the two sides referred to the high level of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Syria in various issues, including education, emphasizing the positive experience between the diplomatic academy and the diplomatic institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria.

Al-Jaafari and Yakovenko called on young Syrian diplomats to be sent to train for two weeks at the academy, and for the signing of an agreement between the two educational institutions.
