Bangladesh celebrates its National Day

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Amman, Jordan has celebrated the 51st Anniversary of Independence of Bangladesh on 26 March 2022 with due dignity and enthusiasm. At the beginning of the day Ambassador of Bangladesh -non resident ambassador to Syria too, Nahida Sobhan hoisted the national flag along with the national anthem at the embassy premises.

 

The Ambassador of Bangladesh said in her speech that Bangladesh has been born under the leadership of Bangabandhu and today we are known in the world as citizens of an independent country because of his sacrifice.  It is a matter of great pride that Bangladesh is moving forward under the leadership of his able daughter, Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Today Bangladesh is considered as a role model of development to the world. Bangladesh’s achievement in last 50 years is remarkable. She added that Bangladesh is now opting investment opportunities in countries potential for its investors. Referring the ties with Jordan she said that Jordan and Bangladesh’s friendship goes a long way. Jordan is one of the major Arab countries to recognize Bangladesh in 1973 – early after independence of Bangladesh. We stand by our brotherly country in supporting His Majesty the King’s custodianship over Jerusalem’s holy places. The Ambassador also hoped to celebrate its 50 years of diplomatic relations with Jordan next year with joint collaboration. She also reiterated Bangladesh’s position to stand with Palestinian cause and support all sorts of peace effort in the world.
