Bakeries stop in Hasaka due to the siege imposed by the US-backed SDF militia

Hasaka (ST): The governor of Hasaka, Ghassan Khalil, affirmed that the unfair siege imposed by the US-backed SDF militia on the cities of Hasaka and Qameshli has aggravated the humanitarian and service situation and prevented ensuring the basic constituents of life for citizens.

In a statement, Khalil said that the continuation of the siege for the sixteenth consecutive day on the city center of Hasaka and the Tayy and Halko neighborhoods in Qameshli and preventing the entry of foodstuffs, fuel and flour for bakeries, medical materials and medicines have a negative impact on the citizens and basic services despite the continuous efforts to secure a minimum of these services by all possible means.

In the same context, and in continuation of its violations and criminal siege on the city center of Hasaka, the SDF militia prevented the entry of flour and fuel into public and private bakeries, which led to their suspension.
