Baghdad will host a conference for the transport ministers of neighboring countries and the GCC next week

Baghdad, (ST) – Iraqi government spokesman Basem Al-Awadi announced that Baghdad will host a conference for the transport ministers of neighboring countries and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) next Saturday.

Al-Awadi said in a statement to the media office of the Prime Minister, reported by the Iraqi News Agency INA, that based on the Iraqi government’s vision of the importance of economic integration among the countries of the region, and in line with the government program that is based on economic reform and advancing strategic projects forward next Saturday, the capital, Baghdad, will host a Conference for the Ministers of  Transport of Iraq’s neighboring countries and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Al-Awadi said: The conference comes within the government’s policy of  economic interdependence and of enhancing cooperation with brothers and friends, which represents a foundation for peace, stability and prosperity for peoples of the Arab region.
