Baghdad: Several security men wounded in the center of the city
Baghdad (ST): Baghdad operations command announced that several Iraqi security men were wounded as a result of a shoot-out in the center of the capital Baghdad.
Al-Sumeria news website quoted Baghdad operations command as saying that the security forces were targeted at al-Khalani Square causing the injury of several members.
The command called on the demonstrators to identify the people who opened fire stressing that opening fire during demonstrations runs contrary to their peaceful nature.
Several Iraqi cities have been witnessing demonstrations demanding for improving public services, eliminating unemployment and combating corruption.
