“Back to school” supplies are offered at 40% discount within “Family’s Market” initiative in all Syrian governorates

Around 200 Syrian companies specialized in manufacturing school supplies and clothes are offering their products at 40% discount in the initiative of “Souq Al-Eleh” [Family’s Market] which kicked off yesterday on the old fairground in Damascus.

The initiative that will last until the 25th of September has been organized by the Damascus Chamber of Commerce and the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce and Damascus Governorate upon the directives of Mrs. Asma Al-Assad.

Before the start of the  Month of Ramadan [April 2021], Mrs. Al-Assad chaired the meeting of charity societies and humanitarian institutions and urged them to unify their efforts to help the Syrian family to meet its needs, especially when students go back to school.

Damascus Governor Adel Al-Olabi was quoted by the Damascus-based Al-Watan newspaper as saying that ‘Souq Al-Eleh” market is important at economic and social levels as the products are being directly sold to the customer at low prices to ease the pressures of the difficult living conditions, which are caused by the western unilateral and coercive measures being imposed on the country.

The market’s pavilions are allocated for free to the participants  including electricity which is ensured by the governorate.

All Syrian governorates will hold similar markets to meet what families need when their children go back to school.

The new school year will start on the 5th of September in Syria.
