Baath Party in Yemen supports Syria’s role in fighting terrorism

The Regional Leadership of the Baath Arab Socialist Party in Yemen has renewed its support for Syria in the face of the terrorist war that has been targeting the country over the past 12 years.

In a statement on Saturday marking the 76th Foundation Anniversary of the Baath Party, the regional leadership said that April 7th, 1947 was a turning point in the Arab struggle and nationalist action. On this day, a number of honorable nationalist activists founded the Baath Party with unity, liberty and socialism as its main goals and principles. Since that day, the party has been struggling to achieve its goals challenging all the difficult circumstances that faced its struggle process.

The party leadership in Yemen affirmed that Secretary General of the Baath Party, President Bashar Al-Assad, has waged a battle in defense of Syria’s land, liberty and independence and in defense of all the occupied Arab territories, foremost of which is the occupied Syrian Golan and Palestine, pointing out that the Syria’s sacrifices in defense of the Arab nation are great and highly appreciated by all Arab and Islamic peoples.

The leadership said that the party is pushing forward the efforts aiming at establishing a new world order that meets the aspirations of peoples in achieving justice and peace and in supporting liberation movements and the principles of real sovereignty of countries. It reiterated its support for Syria’s leading and brave role in achieving the goals of the nationalist project and the interest of the Arab nation.

“We, as Baathists, will continue to be committed to the goals of the Baath Party and will not give up our principles whatever the challenges are,” the Baath Party leadership in Yemen affirmed, pointing out that it will work hard to achieve the higher interest of the Yemeni people and cooperate with other national forces to maintain independence and attain development.
