Baath Party in Yemen condemns US aggression on Syrian-Iraqi borders

The Baath Arab Socialist Party in Yemen strongly condemned the blatant US aggression on the Syrian-Iraqi border region, stressing that it is a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and independence of states and international charters and norms.

“The irresponsible behavior of the American administration and the continuous violations of national sovereignty on the Syrian-Iraqi borders are a flagrant violation of international conventions and norms,” a statement issued by the party said. “These repeated attacks by the American and Zionist forces on Syrian and Iraqi lands affirm the close link between them and the terrorist organizations and aim to weaken the capabilities of the Syrian and Iraqi Arab armies to control the nation’s capabilities.”

The statement called on the international community represented by the United Nations and the UN Security Council and all free people of the world to assume their responsibilities and condemn these attacks and work hard to put an end to the American-Zionist arrogance. It also demanded that the American authorities respect the unity of the land and people of Syria and Iraq and to immediately stop the practice of these attacks.

At the conclusion of its statement, the party affirmed its absolute solidarity with the Syrian-Iraqi people and its support for all steps and measures taken by the Syrian and Iraqi governments to respond and deter in a way that ensures that they maintain their security and sovereignty.
