Baath Newspaper Exhibits 300 Documents on Syrian History in Sweida Cultural Center

The most important stages in Syria’s history have been illustrated in around 300 documents exhibited in Sweida Cultural center on the occasion of the release of the 1st issue of al-Baath newspaper.

According to the Syrian Arab News agency (SANA), the one-week exhibition shows Syria’s history since independence till today, the late president Hafez al-Assad’s meetings with world leaders, the election of President Bashar al-Assad, national unity and the meaning of martyrdom which were explained in dozens of articles published by the ‘al-Baath’ newspaper.

 “History is homeland’s memory,” Acting Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party’s Sweida branch Yehia al-Sehnawi said during the opening ceremony of exhibition on Sunday, asserting that Baath party is social, national and humanitarian project.

The first issue of the Baath newspaper was released on July 3,1946
