Azzam visits historian Mohammad Kujjah in Aleppo on behalf of President Al-Assad and Mrs. Asma Al-Assad
ALEPPO, Aug.18, (ST)- The Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour Azzam visited on Thursday the Syrian historian and Researcher, Mohammad Kujjah, at his home in Aleppo on behalf of President Bashar al-Assad and Mrs. Asma Al-Assad.
During the visit, the Minister conveyed the greetings of President al-Assad and Mrs. Asma to Mr. Kujjah, wishing him good health.
Kujjah was born in Aleppo in 1939 and he still lives in this glorious city. He is considered as one of Aleppo and Syria’s great figures, a lover for history, culture and heritage, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
He presented to Mr. President and Mrs. Asma Al-Assad -as a gift- a book he wrote about Aleppo, the capital of culture.
The historian is proud of distributing more than 100,000 copies of the book in Arab and Islamic countries.
He occupied the position of the Secretary general of Aleppo, Capital of the Islamic Culture Festivity in 2006, Consultant of UNESCO in Syria in 2010 and the Editor-in-Chief of the Heritage Magazine.
In addition, he was the Chairman of the National Register of Cultural Heritage Committee, and won the “State Appreciation Award in the field of criticism, studies and translation” in 2016. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Al-Adiyat Association” since 1994.
