Axis of Resistance vs Takfiri Mentality

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The Arab Writers Union in cooperation with the Journalists Union in Syria on Monday held the 5th Nationalist Dialogue Forum under the title “The Axis of Resistance in Confrontation of Takfiri Mentality” at Al-Assad Library in Damascus.

The forum sheds light on the Palestinian resistance and its role in confronting the takfiri thinking and the Zionist mentality. It also concentrates on the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army in its battle against terrorism and which contributed to foiling the schemes aiming to undermine the Palestinian cause.

Focus will also be made on the latest developments in the region particularly in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Yemen and on the steadfastness of the Syrian people, army and leadership in the face of the global war targeting Syria. In addition, the role of the Arab popular resistance as a nationalist thinking facing the danger of the takfiri mentality besides the experience of the Lebanese resistance in the confrontation of takfirim are also to be highlighted during the forum.

Prominent Arab nationalistic figures including Secretary General of the Palestinian Arab Struggle Front Khaled Abdul Majeed, Head of the Tunisian Popular Front for Supporting the Syrian People Ahmad al-Kahlawi and Director of the International Studies and Media Center Rafik Nasrallah are taking part in the event.

The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by senior Baath Arab Socialist Party officials and a large number of concerned people.
