Lattakia, ST- An session composed of 18 women was held in Lattakia within the framework of the Humanitarian Support Project in the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Branch with the support of UNHCR Syria.
The session introduced the women to the concept of mental health, the standards that indicate it, their impact on the physical health and the importance of the social psychological support in the individual life.
Through the session, they discussed the symptoms of the most common mental disorders such as depression and anxiety. They highlighted the issue of “suicide prevention” through an interactive theater activity, and put forward some suggestions to deal with this issue.
