Authorities Thwart Drug Smuggling Attempt to Jordan
Daraa (ST) – The authorities in Daraa thwarted drug smuggling attempts towards the Jordanian borders.
A source in the special authorities told SANA “through following up on a person working in drug promotion and smuggling, a civilian car was seized .It contained tens of thousands of narcotic Captagon pills hidden in secret caches .The car was discovered at one of the checkpoints on the Damascus-Daraa highway. After questioning the smugglers who were arrested, it was found that the drugs were destined for Jordanian territory.”
The source added that the authorities continue to perform their duties and continuously follow up on drug smugglers and traffickers, arresting them and transferring them to the judicial authorities .
