VIENNA, (ST) _ Austrian President Heinz Fischer stressed the need to fight terrorism, establish a Palestinian state and reach a solution to the Iranian nuclear file, pointing out that sanctions against Russia are “unwise” and dangerous to peace.
” Roots of terrorism must be eradicated, primarily by giving young people opportunities and prospects for the future,”, President Fischer said in an interview with the Austrian news agency APA yesterday on the occasion near the end of this year, pointing out that Austria is not considered a target for terrorist attacks
On the Palestinian issue, President Fisher voiced his country’s support for the establishment of a Palestinian state to be recognized, timely.
In another context, President Fischer expressed optimism in future negotiations between Iran and the Group 5 + 1 on Iran’s nuclear program, stressing the importance of reaching a final agreement between all parties provides for allowing Tehran to use atomic energy for peaceful purposes, especially after the great convergence reached in recent negotiations.
