Beirut, (ST) _Lebanese Minister of foreign Affairs and Expatriates Adnan Mansour, said that the Arab League since the beginning of the crisis in Syria did not take a clear and homogeneous position that reflects the situation there, or providing an appropriate solution.
Mansour said in an interview with Al-Manar TV today that “the Lebanese state committed itself to a policy of distancing self about what is happening in Syria, but that does not mean it becomes a false witness,”
The Lebanese minister said that his speech at the Arab League, explained the situation in Syria in detaisl and its various repercussions on the Lebanese situation .
“We have to change the equation in the region because we face the reality to that there is no war without Syria and no peace without Syria and what is happening today is an attempt to impose the Israeli policy of fait accompli on the region.” Mansour said.
He regretted certain statements that the crisis in Syria is internal , explaining , “If so, why a vast number of fighters who entered Syria from more than forty countries . A fact which was disclosed foreign countries foreign ministers and expressed fear over their later return to their own countries.”
He stressed that the region is undergoing a very serious phase it never countered since Palestine setback in 1948 and that the collapse of Syria means the collapse of the region, pointing out that some groups in Lebanon operating in this scheme because they know the real role Syria plays in the region.
Mansour pointed out that Syria is destined to be in the heart of the East and her national role is to maintain the sovereignty and independence of this region and the protection of the social fabric.
