At least 5 civilians hurt as Damascus and its suburb hit by mortars

DAMASCUS,(ST)_At least 4 civilians have been wounded in mortar attacks on al-Qassa’a and al-Dwel’a quarters in Damascus, according to a police command source.

The source declared today that two mortar rounds-fired by terrorists- hit al-Dwel’a quarter in Damascus where a mother plus her son and daughter were wounded.

Another civilian was wounded when a mortar round fell on his house near Berj al-Rous [al-Rous tower] in al-Qassa’a quarter in the same province [Damascus], the source confirmed, adding that a woman was wounded by terrorist sniper fire at the northern entry of Damascus city.

The Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that mortar rounds hit al-Abbaseyen and al-Qassa’a quarters east Damascus and 3 mortars landed in al-Dwel’a quarter.

While in Damascus suburb, an 11-year-old girl was wounded by mortar fire on al-Kabbas quarter.

The US, France, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Israel support terrorist organizations oprerating in Syria, world media reports confirm.
