At Least 22 People Killed, 100 injured in Suicide Attack Targeting Wedding in Gaziantep, Southern Turkey

ANKARA, (ST)- At least 22 people were killed and about 100 others were wounded on Saturday in a suicide bomb attack that targeted a wedding ceremony in Gaziantep, southern Turkey.

Gaziantep Governor Ali Yerlikaya released a statement saying the blast was an attack by “terrorist organizations,” according to the Turkish Anadolu news agency.

The Turkish Parliament member from the ruling AKP Party, Shamil Tayyar, said he believed that the “Daesh” terror organization was behind the attack.

Turkey has witnessed several blasts for which “Daesh” claimed responsibility. However, the Turkish opposition parties held Erdogan’s regime responsible for these attacks because he used terrorism as a card to achieve his policy’s goals and gave a blind eye to the terrorists’ activities in Turkey.

The Turkish regime under Erdogan’s leadership has contributed to the spread of extremism and terrorism in the region through allowing tens of thousands of terrorists and mercenaries from all over the world to enter Syria across the Turkish borders. It also set up training camps and operation rooms for the terrorists in the Turkish territories and is still sending weapons and money to the terrorists in Syria via trucks that belong to the Turkish intelligence body.
