At least 12 Civilians Martyred by Terrorist Attacks on Damascus and its Countryside and Sweida

PROVINCE,(ST)_At least 12 civilian were martyred and 52 others wounded by mortar attacks on areas in Damascus, Damascus countryside and Sweida provinces, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency quoted a Police command source as citing today that 15 shells hit several areas in Jaramana district in Damascus countryside where 7 civilians were martyred and 31 others wounded.

“Several homes, cars and shops were damaged by the mortar attack,” the source said, adding that a shell landed on the ‘Abdollah ben Omar’ mosque causing material damages to the minaret without casualties.

The source also noted that a terrorist sniper shot dead a civilian at the ‘al-Sham al-Jadedeh’ Fuel station on Harasta highway.

“Three more civilians were wounded when a shell-fired by terrorists- hit Daheyet Harasta square”, the source said, pointing out that two others shells landed in al-Jazera D3 and in the ‘Police’ hospital.

The two shells left material damages at the scenes.

In other mortar attacks on quarters of Mazzeh and Barzeh in the capital [Damascus], at least a civilian was martyred and 5 others wounded, according to SANA.

The shells-fired by terrorists- landed near the ‘French School’ in Mazzeh area and on a house in Mazzeh 86 quarter as well as near power station in Barzeh quarter.

Terrorists target funeral  

The ‘al-Faiyha’a’ Sport Club on al-Adawi highway was also hit by two shells where a civilian was martyred and two others wounded.

In Sweida province, terrorists launched shells on a funeral in Dama Gharbi town, killing two civilians and leaving 7 others wounded.
