At Least 11 Civilians, Including Women and Children, Martyred in US-Led Coalition’s Airstrikes against Deir Ezzor Countryside
DEIR EZZOR, (ST)- Heavy and violent airstrikes by the so-called US-led coalition on al-Sha’fa village in Syria’s Deir Ezzor southeastern countryside led to the martyrdom of at least 11 civilians including three women and five children, according to local sources.
The sources told SANA reporter that the coalition’s bombardment also caused the wounding of tens of innocent people and the destruction of several houses.
According to the sources, the number of the martyrs may increase because of serious injuries, continuous raids and difficulty to pull out the wounded persons from under the rubble.
The illegal US-led coalition purportedly against Daesh terrorist organization intentionally bombards civilians houses under the pretext of targeting Daesh terrorists, said the sources, pointing out that the coalition’s incessant aggression on Deir Ezzor areas has led to the displacement of hundreds of civilians after their houses get destroyed.
Over the past few week, the international coalition intensified its aggression on Deir Ezzor southeastern countryside by launching hundreds of airstrikes, including with white phosphorus and cluster bombs, on several villages and towns, claiming the lives of many innocent people.
