Asian Football Confederation holds welcome meeting for the Syrian team participating in the Asian Cup in Doha

The Asian Football Confederation on Wednesday held a welcome meeting for the Syrian national team delegation at the team’s residence in the Qatari capital, Doha.

During the meeting, former international referee Sa’d Kamil reviewed, in details, the latest developments in the football game and the latest amendments to laws in this field.

Also during the meeting, the AFC logo was handed over to the team director Muwafaq Fathallah, and a mockup of the championship’s cup was handed over to the captain of the team Ibrahim Alma.

It is to be noted that the Syrian team will begin the Asian Cup competitions next Saturday, January 13, by playing against the Uzbekistan team. The team’s second match will be against the Australian team on the 19th of January, while it concludes its competitions in the group stage by facing the Indian national team on January 23rd.
