As part of the Syrian-Russian peace initiative, humanitarian aid distributed to 100 displaced families in Homs
Within the Syrian-Russian peace initiative and in cooperation with the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Damascus and the southern region, and in coordination between the Quneitra and Homs governorates, material and food aid has been distributed today in the displaced persons’ neighborhood in Karm al-Zeitoun to the families of the martyrs, the wounded, and the neighborhood’s residents who were displaced from the Quneitra governorate. The families were also met and their service demands were listened to.
The head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Damascus and the Southern Region, Rear Admiral Vadim Collet, said in a speech: We coordinated with the Quneitra Governorate to visit Homs and provide some aid to the families of the martyrs and the wounded, especially in these difficult circumstances. He added: We, the Russian military, are present on Syrian territory to stand with our Syrian brothers in their war on terrorism, hoping for a speedy return of peace to the Syrian land.
In statements to the media, the Governor of Quneitra, Engineer Moataz Abu Al-Nasr Jamran, said that the meeting was with our people in Homs with the aim of providing some assistance, listening to their service demands, and striving to resolve them as quickly as possible, within the available capabilities, and in coordination with Homs Governorate.
The media director of the Syrian-Russian peace initiative in Syria, Dr. Salwa Shaaban, explained that the initiative came based on its humanitarian message based on peace and love, which included all governorates and all segments of society, especially the families of the martyrs, the wounded, and the missing, and in coordination with the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Damascus and the southern region, noting that the initiative was not the first in Homs and included the distribution of food and material aid to 100 families of displaced people from Quneitra Governorate.
In turn, Deputy Governor of Homs, Amer Abboud, pointed out that the service complaints that were raised during the meeting with the directors of the relevant institutions will be followed up in order to resolve them as quickly as possible.
